How It Works

Step 1 – Send Us a Video
Take a video of your battery lights when you first turn it on and email it to [email protected].
Please also let us know how long it has been since the battery was working properly.

We’ll review your video and let you know if your battery has the Red Light of Death (RLOD) and whether it’s a good candidate for recovery.

Step 2 – Purchase the Service
The service costs $100 + shipping your battery to us.

Step 3 – Ship Your Battery & ESC
Send us your Battery and ESC controller (the ESC is the component in front of the motors).

This will require removing the rear trucks and, depending on the board, possibly the front trucks as well.

Please record your batteries serial number (Located on the back of the battery and begins with a B), and ship via a traceable method to:

What’s Included

• Full diagnostic evaluation

• Attempted RLOD Error Cleared and Battery Recovery

• Return shipping of your ESC and/or battery (covered by us)

• Responsible battery disposal if recovery is not possible

Important Notes

• This service is currently only for Boosted Extended Range Batteries showing the RLOD error.

• Extended Range Batteries without RLOD cannot be repaired.

• We are working on solutions for Rev and SR batteries in the future.

• This is not a guaranteed repair. Some battery cells may be too damaged or imbalanced to recover, or there may be connection issues that cannot be resolved.

If Your Battery Cannot Be Repaired

If recovery is not possible, you may choose to:

• Have your battery returned to you (return shipping is covered by us), or

• Have us responsibly dispose of it at no additional cost.

Please Note: If your battery cannot be recovered, the $100 service fee is non-refundable, as it covers the time and labor involved in diagnostic testing and recovery attempts.
